₹972 Crore Boost for Yadadri Thermal Plant

Power Mech Projects has been awarded a ₹971.98 crore contract by Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO) for comprehensive infrastructure development at the 5x800 MW Yadadri Thermal Power Station (YTPS) in Veerlapalem, Nalgonda district.

The scope includes engineering, design, and construction of key infrastructure, including a fully integrated township to support plant operations and staff. Residential facilities will comprise independent quarters (Type A & B) and high-rise apartments (Stilt + 10 floors, Type D, E & F).

Community infrastructure will feature a hospital, school, clubhouse, commercial spaces, an indoor stadium, a sports complex, and a multipurpose function hall. Civil works include site levelling, roads, drainage systems, potable water storage (underground tanks and OHSRs), septic tanks, and a sewage treatment plant (STP).

The project is slated for completion within 30 months from the official site handover.
