The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) has announced plans to set up petrol pumps on its vacant land in collaboration with government oil companies.
During its 310th Board Meeting, RSRTC also approved the modernization of bus stands in eight districts and the expansion of its fleet from 3,500 to 5,000 buses by 2026. Two public sector undertakings (PSUs) have expressed interest in developing infrastructure, which will include bus bays, drinking water kiosks, and upgraded toilet facilities. The initiative will begin with the construction of new bus stands, as outlined in the Budget 2025-26.
According to RSRTC’s official statement, modern bus stands will be developed in Ajmer, Bharatpur, Udaipur, Bundi, Bikaner, Beawar, Chittorgarh, and Bhilwara under the build-operate-transfer (BOT) model. Tenders for consultancy services have been issued, and preliminary work is underway.
Additionally, 12 new bus stands will be constructed across Rajasthan, while 21 others will be developed in collaboration with the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board.
