RVNL Secures Major Central Railway Contract

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has successfully secured a significant contract from Central Railway. This development marks a notable achievement for RVNL, highlighting its growing influence and expertise in railway infrastructure projects.

The contract entails the crucial task of modifying the Overhead Equipment (OHE) in the Wardha-Ballarshah Section of the Nagpur division. This modification will upgrade the existing 1x25 kV electric traction system to a more advanced 2x25 kV Autotransformer (AT) feeding system. This upgrade is essential to support a loading target of 3000 metric tons (MT).

With a total value of Rs 132.59 crore, this contract underscores the substantial investment being made to enhance railway infrastructure in the region. The upgrade is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and capacity of the electric traction system, aligning with the broader goals of Central Railway.

The Wardha-Ballarshah Section is a critical segment within the Nagpur division, and this project will play a key role in boosting its operational capabilities.
