Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has initiated a tender process for the comprehensive redesign, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of signalling and telecommunication infrastructure. This extensive project encompasses both indoor and outdoor components at Sitafalmandi A Cabin & B Cabin (STPD -A & STPD-B) as part of the yard remodelling initiative within the Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway, integral to the MMTS Phase-II project in the state of Telangana, India.
The designated Tender Reference Number for this endeavor is RVNL-SC-SnT-STPD YARD. The specified work involves a myriad of tasks, ranging from design and supply to the actual implementation and testing of the signalling and telecommunication systems. The estimated cost for this significant undertaking is set at INR 29,84,87,153.36, with an earnest money deposit (EMD) requirement of INR 59,69,800. The projected timeline for the completion of these activities is stipulated at 12 months.
The commencement of the document download/sale period is scheduled for the 6th of September 2023, while the conclusion of this phase is set for the 6th of October 2023. A pre-bid meeting has been slated for the 26th of September 2023, providing an opportunity for potential bidders to seek clarifications and gather insights into the project's intricacies. Bid submission is accepted between the aforementioned dates of September 6th and October 6th, with the bid opening scheduled for October 6th, 2023.
The scope of the proposed works encompasses Sithaphalamandi (Hyderabad Division) to Lallaguda (SC Division), serving as a crucial track connectivity point with significant operational benefits for the railway network. This new line is designed to facilitate direct train movements from the Mahabubnagar and Kazipet legs, eliminating the need for the current circuitous route via Malkajgiri and Moulali-C cabin.
Beyond enhancing goods traffic, the project aims to streamline routes, reducing congestion between MLY’C cabin & Secunderabad’ A cabin. The proposed work begins at Sithaphalamandi station, traversing through Sithaphalamandi’ A’ Cabin, B cabin, and concluding at Lallaguda cabin on SC-KZP main line. The railway section primarily traverses a heavily built-up area, with road accessibility facilitated from Mettuguda Junction.
