The Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpsar Department has issued a tender for Phase-6A of the Watershed Development Project along the Sabarmati River banks.
This phase covers the stretch from Sant Sarovar Barrage to Shahpur Bridge in Gandhinagar district and involves the creation of waterbodies and riverfront infrastructure. With an estimated project value of Rs 232.41 crore, the initiative is designed to promote water conservation, soil erosion control, and enhance the ecological balance of the river corridor.
In addition to environmental benefits, the project will support urban beautification, the development of recreational spaces, and improved water resource management in the region. The total project duration is 12 months, including the monsoon period.
The deadline for bid submission is 15 October 2025.
