SCR Issues ₹696 Crore Tender for Mudkhed–Basar Rail Doubling

South Central Railway (Construction Organization) has issued a tender for the doubling of the railway track between Mudkhed and Basar stations.

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract will include electrification, as well as the installation of signalling and telecommunication systems, aiming to improve connectivity and operational efficiency in the Hyderabad division of South Central Railway. This project is part of the larger Mudkhed–Medchal doubling initiative, which spans Maharashtra and Telangana. The estimated project cost is ₹696.05 crore and is expected to significantly enhance the region’s rail infrastructure.

Bidders are invited to submit proposals for the contract, with the deadline set for 19 March 2026.
