The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced that the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), acting as an intermediary aggregator, has signed Green Ammonia Sale Agreements (GASA) for the supply of 7.24 lakh tonnes per annum (TPA) with leading fertiliser companies.

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, said that the exchange of Green Ammonia Purchase Agreements (GAPA) and GASA represents a major step toward enhancing India’s energy security, especially amid global uncertainties.

He made these remarks at an event for the exchange of green ammonia agreements for the fertiliser sector under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the ministry added.
