Steel Exchange India Limited (SEIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) to explore expanding its integrated steel plant by 1 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) for producing green steel and alloy products.
Separately, SEIL’s wholly owned subsidiary, SEIL Infra Logistics Limited, has signed an MoU with APEDB to collaborate on developing a Multi-Modal Logistics Park and a General Cargo Terminal to support the proposed steel plant expansion.
These non-binding MoUs outline frameworks for cooperation and joint evaluation of project modalities, reflecting SEIL’s strategic push toward higher production capacity and sustainable industrial development. The proposed initiatives are expected to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s industrial infrastructure and drive environmentally responsible growth in the state’s steel and logistics sectors.
