Shivtek Spechemi Expands with ₹50 Crore Punjab Investment

Shivtek Spechemi Industries, the flagship company of the Shiva Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bodal Chemicals to acquire approximately eight acres of land in Rajpura, Punjab.

With a ₹50 crore investment covering both land acquisition and the construction of a new specialty chemical manufacturing facility, the project marks a key step in Shivtek’s green chemistry and export-driven growth strategy. Strategically located next to Bodal’s chlorine production facilities, the plant will benefit from a direct chlorine pipeline, significantly enhancing efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability.

The new unit will manufacture chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and green plasticisers, addressing rising demand in the plastics and rubber sectors. It will also support Shivtek’s geographic expansion into Northern and Eastern India.

Dr. Amitt Nenwani, Managing Director of Shivtek, highlighted the site's strategic advantages, expansion potential, and the companies’ shared commitment to sustainability.
Ankit Patel, Executive Director at Bodal Chemicals, noted that the partnership optimises land utilisation while ensuring a stable chlorine off-take.

Designed with a strong sustainability focus, the upcoming facility will feature solar energy integration, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, and advanced emissions control measures. Subject to MoEF clearances, operations are expected to commence by late 2026 or Q4 of FY27.
