Shree Cement Hits 70 MTPA Milestone with Kodla Expansion

Shree Cement Limited has commissioned a 3.50 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) cement mill at its Kodla integrated cement plant in Kalaburagi district on March 14, 2026, completing the key operational components of the facility.

The commissioning follows the earlier start-up of the plant’s clinkerisation unit on February 24, 2026, bringing the integrated plant fully into operation. Through equipment optimisation and process enhancements, the company has increased the plant’s final cement capacity to 3.50 MTPA, exceeding the initial planned capacity of 3.0 MTPA.

With this addition, the total cement capacity at the Kodla plant has reached 6.50 MTPA, strengthening Shree Cement’s manufacturing presence in southern India.

The development also raises the company’s overall cement production capacity in India to nearly 70 MTPA, further reinforcing its position among the country’s leading cement producers.
