Shyam Metalics Expands Capacity with ₹150 Cr Sambalpur Plant

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited today announced the successful commissioning of its 1.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) iron ore beneficiation plant at Sambalpur, Odisha, representing a capital investment of ₹150 crore.

The state-of-the-art facility processes low-grade iron ore into high-grade feedstock for downstream steel manufacturing. By maximizing raw material utilization and extending mine longevity, the plant significantly reduces dependence on external feedstock while driving gains in yield, throughput, and overall profitability. The milestone marks a major step forward in strengthening Shyam Metalics' integrated steel operations.
