Smile Electronics planning to set up PCB Assembly Plant Project in Andhra Pradesh

Smile Electronics Limited intends to establish a new PCB assembly plant in Gudipalli, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic devices will be part of the project. The project will cost approximately 88 crores. The Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change has granted environmental approval to the project. 

For the project, the business has already purchased 5 acres of property. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2023 and end in 2024. The project will directly employ approximately 100 people and indirectly employ approximately 200 others. The initiative is anticipated to strengthen the region's economy and help meet the country's growing need for PCB assembly services.

As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
