SRF to set up Packaging Film Project in Madhya Pradesh

SRF Limited has formulated plans to establish a novel packaging film venture in Pithampur, Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. The estimated cost of the project amounts to 437 Crores, with a projected launch date set for 2024. The projected capacity of the new packaging film initiative is anticipated to reach 12,000 tonnes per year, encompassing the production of diverse packaging films such as biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films, biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) films, and metallized films. 

The films will be utilized for diverse purposes, encompassing food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, and industrial packaging. SRF Limited is a prominent Indian firm specializing in the production of packaging films. The organization possesses a network of more than ten manufacturing facilities situated throughout India, alongside a diverse assortment of packaging films inside its product line. 

The implementation of the new packaging film project in Pithampur is expected to facilitate the expansion of SRF Limited's market presence and operational capabilities within the Central India region. As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
