Sri City, the integrated business city in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, secured investment commitments worth ₹20,250 crore in 2025 through the signing of 43 memoranda of understanding (MoUs).
Of this, ₹11,750 crore was mobilised at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit held in Visakhapatnam. During the year, 15 new companies commenced production, including five inaugurated at the summit and 10 at other times. A key milestone was achieved in May with the commencement of construction of LG Electronics’ manufacturing facility.
Other significant developments included investments by Japan-based specialty steel maker Proterial (Metglas) and Daikin’s supply-chain expansion, further strengthening Sri City’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing. The year also marked the rollout of the 20,000th excavator by Kobelco Construction Equipment and the commissioning of a large-scale liquid nitrogen storage tank by VRV Asia Pacific.
Reflecting its growing global profile, Sri City hosted international delegations from countries including Japan, Australia and South Korea. Outlining future plans, Sri City Founder Ravindra Sannareddy said the goal for 2026 is to host 500 companies and generate 1.5 lakh jobs.
