Steel Giant Grows: Jai Balaji Jyoti Steels Announces ₹1485 Crore Expansion in Odisha

Jai Balaji Jyoti Steels Limited is expanding its steel plant project at Tainser, Sundargarh, Odisha, with an investment of ₹1485 crores. The expansion aims to enhance the company's production capacity and strengthen its position in the steel industry.

The project includes the expansion of sponge iron production capacity to 594,000 tonnes per annum (TPA). Sponge iron is a key raw material used in steel manufacturing and construction industries.

Additionally, the expansion involves increasing the capacity of the induction furnace to 264,000 tonnes per annum. Induction furnaces are essential for melting and refining iron and steel, playing a crucial role in the production process.

The investment by Jai Balaji Jyoti Steels Limited will create job opportunities in the region and contribute to the economic development of Sundargarh, Odisha. It will also support the government's vision of boosting the manufacturing sector and promoting industrial growth in the state.
