In a major boost to India's semiconductor ambitions, Spain-based technology firm Submer Group has committed $2 billion to establish operations in Madhya Pradesh. Announcing the initiative at the MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0, the company projected the creation of nearly 5,000 direct jobs. To support the project, the state government demonstrated its focus on ease of doing business by approving and allotting 15 acres of land in the Acharpura industrial area for a data center within six days of Submer's request. Highlighting the long-term impact, Submer India CEO Patrick Smets noted that early investments in AI infrastructure are critical to securing future tech leadership. The event also marked a strategic partnership between Google Play India and the MPSEDC, who signed an MoU to accelerate the state's digital development.
