Sundaram Clayton's Smart Factory Fuels Strong Q1 Growth

Sundaram Clayton Ltd. (SCL) reported growth in Q1 FY25, driven by strong operational performance at its Thervoy Kandigai Plant (TKP), its advanced die-casting smart factory in Chennai. The plant has scaled up smoothly and without disruptions since commencing full-scale operations.

A key player in the automotive sector since 1962, SCL manufactures engineered aluminium die-cast components for global commercial and passenger vehicle markets, offering lightweight, high-performance, and sustainable solutions.

To further enhance efficiency and operational synergies, SCL is in the final stages of consolidating its three Indian manufacturing units—TKP, Oragadam, and Mahindra World City—into two key facilities: TKP and Oragadam. This strategic move aligns with the company’s focus on advanced manufacturing and delivering future-ready solutions for the evolving automotive landscape.
