Maharashtra-based aluminium casting manufacturer Taural India has inaugurated its second aluminium sand casting facility at Supa, Maharashtra, expanding operations beyond its first plant in Pune and reinforcing India’s advanced aluminium manufacturing ecosystem.
Spread across 30 acres, the new facility has been developed to meet global engineering and sustainability standards. It incorporates automation, digital process controls, and advanced quality systems to manufacture complex, high-precision aluminium components. The company said the output will serve a wide range of sectors, including defence, mobility, energy, aerospace, marine, railways, and industrial infrastructure.
The Supa plant is expected to significantly boost Taural India’s manufacturing capacity, catering to both domestic and international markets. It is also projected to generate more than 1,200 direct jobs, along with substantial indirect employment across logistics, services, and local supplier ecosystems.
Inaugurating the facility, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “Taural India’s journey stands as a powerful example of how Indian entrepreneurs can build globally competitive, world-class manufacturing enterprises rooted in innovation, partnerships, and purpose. Facilities such as Supa also support growth beyond metro cities and align with the state’s long-term economic ambitions.”
Founder and CEO Bharat Gite said the new plant “strengthens indigenous aluminium casting capabilities, creates skilled employment opportunities in regional markets, and demonstrates that Indian enterprises can deliver high-precision manufacturing at global standards while contributing meaningfully to local communities.”
The Supa facility follows a memorandum of understanding signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2025 and represents a significant step towards decentralised industrial growth in Tier II and Tier III regions.
