Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has expanded its cold chain logistics network with the commissioning of a 1.5 lakh sq. ft. warehouse at Taj Nagar, Gurugram.
The facility is operated by TCI Cold Chain Solutions, a joint venture between TCI and Mitsui & Co. of Japan. It is designed to cater to sectors such as quick commerce, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, dairy, meat and poultry, beauty and life sciences. Strategically located between the KMP and Dwarka Expressways, the warehouse offers 24x7 truck access and multi-temperature storage options for frozen, chilled and air-conditioned products. It follows a flexible, pay-as-you-use model with multiple storage configurations.
The facility is equipped with advanced sustainability and safety features, including a 500 kW rooftop solar power system, energy-efficient refrigeration, SCADA-based monitoring systems and more than 600 CCTV cameras.
Commenting on the expansion, CEO B Sumit Kumar said that the development reflects the growing demand for scalable and compliant cold chain infrastructure in the region. With a warehousing footprint exceeding 16 million sq. ft., TCI continues to strengthen its presence in India’s logistics sector.
