Gurugram-based K2 InfraGen has been awarded a ₹390.91 crore road infrastructure contract by the Government of Telangana, marking a significant addition to the company’s order book.
The contract covers the construction, upgradation, strengthening, and maintenance of selected roads under the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department (PRED) in the Bhongir Circle. The project is being implemented under Phase I, Package No. 2 of the Telangana Rural Roads Development Programme through the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).
In accordance with the HAM framework, K2 InfraGen will establish a special purpose vehicle (SPV) and complete all necessary contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements before commencing project execution.
The contract value is substantial, exceeding four times the company’s current market capitalisation, underscoring the significance of the project for K2 InfraGen’s growth trajectory. Since its listing in April 2024, the company has expanded its presence across the roads, power, and railway infrastructure sectors.
According to Managing Director Pankaj Sharma, the project is expected to enhance rural connectivity in the Bhongir Circle region, facilitating better access to agricultural markets, educational institutions, healthcare services, and commercial centres. The improved road network is also anticipated to contribute to regional economic development and social infrastructure growth across Telangana.
