The Telangana government has introduced the Mega Master Plan 2050 to decentralize industrial growth beyond Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. As part of this initiative, greenfield industrial clusters will be developed in Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar districts to promote balanced economic development.
Sector-specific industrial clusters will be established across Telangana, focusing on key industries such as IT, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food processing, sports, automobiles, garments, metalware, handlooms, and jewelry manufacturing. These clusters aim to boost economic expansion, create employment opportunities, and enhance infrastructure.
In addition, the Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridor along NH-163 is being developed to attract investments and drive regional industrialization. The government has allocated Rs 3,527 crore for industrial development in the 2025-2026 budget.
Furthermore, Pharma City will serve as a dedicated hub for manufacturing antibiotics, synthetic drugs, vaccines, nutraceuticals, herbal medicines, and cosmetics-related products, solidifying Telangana's position as a leader in the pharmaceutical sector.
