The Telangana government has announced the Greenfield Radial Road project, named Ratan Tata Road, to enhance connectivity and support urban development. This expressway will link the Tata Interchange at Raviryal on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) to the Regional Ring Road (RRR) at Amangal, with an estimated cost of ₹4,030 crore.
Spanning 41.5 km across six mandals—Maheshwaram, Ibrahimpatnam, Kandukur, Yacharam, Kadthal, and Amangal—the road will cover 14 villages in the Rangareddy district. The project will be executed in two phases:
- Phase I: 19.2 km from ORR (Raviryal, Tata Interchange) to Meerkhanpet at ₹1,665 crore.
- Phase II: 22.3 km from Meerkhanpet to RRR at Amangal at ₹2,365 crore.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) will oversee the construction of this 100-meter-wide access-controlled expressway. Initially planned as a six-lane (3+3) carriageway, it will include provisions for future expansion to eight lanes.
A 20-meter-wide central median has been reserved for a future metro or railway corridor, aligning with long-term urban mobility strategies. The expressway will also feature service roads, a greenbelt, cycle tracks, footpaths, and a utility corridor on both sides to support sustainable infrastructure.
