The 100-Hotel Milestone: Olive’s India Strategy

Hospitality operator Olive by Embassy, the hospitality arm of Embassy Group, is sharpening its focus on India’s budget and mid-market hotel segment, citing strong demand fundamentals and scalable growth potential in the category.

“We are strictly focusing on the budget and mid-segment… the opportunity there is enormous and that is the need of the hour in India,” said Kahraman Yigit, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, in an interaction with businessline.

The company has grown its footprint to more than 100 hotels across multiple geographies, marking a key milestone in its expansion journey. As it continues to scale, Olive is exploring the induction of a strategic minority partner to enhance operational capabilities and bring in sector-specific expertise.

Yigit noted that the company’s priority is long-term value creation rather than merely raising capital. He highlighted that bringing more properties online across diverse markets strengthens Olive’s network effect, deepens its corporate business presence, and reinforces its brand positioning in the segment.
