Smartphone brand realme has joined forces with Optiemus Electronics (OEL) to manufacture its next-generation AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) products in India. This strategic partnership supports realme’s vision to strengthen the local manufacturing ecosystem.
As part of its long-term plan, realme aims to fully localise production of its AIoT product line—including earphones, smartwatches, and tablets. Starting this year, popular models such as the realme Buds T200 series, Buds Wireless series, and Buds Air series will be produced domestically.
The company is also working to locally source key components such as PCBAs, batteries, mechanics, cables, and chargers, further deepening its integration with India’s supply chain. Beyond meeting local demand, realme is exploring global exports of its Made-in-India AIoT products, positioning India as a hub for innovation and distribution.
The partnership targets annual production of five million AIoT devices and the creation of over 2,000 new jobs. Production has already begun with the realme Buds T200 Lite—an advanced earbud featuring crystal-clear calls, Dual Mic AI Deep Call Noise Cancellation, and DNN voice recognition technology.
