The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, took several important decisions at its recent meeting.
The Cabinet approved the establishment of a cancer care centre in Hamirpur to strengthen healthcare services in the region. It also cleared the construction of a 4.3 km zipline project near Dharamsala, which is expected to be the longest in Asia. The ₹7.41 crore project is anticipated to emerge as a major tourist attraction. In addition, the Cabinet approved the allotment of four hydroelectric projects to successful bidders—namely the 6 MW Khauli-II, 24 MW Malana-III, 21.9 MW Manalsu, and 18 MW Dhancho projects.
Further decisions included approval for the construction of a new ice skating rink in Shimla to promote tourism and recreational activities. The Cabinet also authorised Alliance Air Aviation to operate a daily 46-seater aircraft on the Delhi–Shimla–Delhi and Shimla–Dharamshala–Shimla routes, improving air connectivity within the state.
