The KIIFB Effect: Kerala’s ₹1.16 Trillion Infrastructure Leap

Pinarayi Vijayan has said that development initiatives over the past decade have brought tangible benefits to both urban and rural regions of Kerala, highlighting infrastructure projects worth ₹1.16 lakh crore executed through the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).

He was speaking after inaugurating the redevelopment of Vattiyoorkavu Junction and nearby roads, along with a rehabilitation complex built for traders affected by land acquisition. The Chief Minister also dedicated Public Works Department projects worth ₹283 crore in the constituency.

Vijayan said the initiatives underscore the government’s focus on balanced and inclusive growth, ensuring that improved infrastructure reaches communities across the state, irrespective of whether they are in urban centres or rural areas.
