The Second Link: Patna Airport's New Aerobridge is Live!

On 15 November 2025, the second aerobridge at Patna’s Jayprakash Narayan International Airport became operational, further enhancing passenger flow and boosting overall airport efficiency.

Approved by the DGCA, the new aerobridge was first used by Air India’s AI-2789 flight arriving from Mumbai, followed by its return service. This development comes shortly after the airport’s transition to a new modern terminal, inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in May 2025, which began handling commercial operations on 03 June 2025. With the opening of Boarding Gate 10, connected to the newly commissioned aerobridge, Airport Director Chandra Pratap Dwivedi highlighted the airport’s continued focus on expanding and upgrading its infrastructure.

Designed to handle 3,000 passengers during peak hours, the terminal will ultimately be equipped with five aerobridges. The airport currently manages 92–96 flights daily, with major carriers such as IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet operating from the facility.
