Japanese electronic components manufacturer Hirose Electric Co., Ltd. is planning to set up its first manufacturing facility in India in Tamil Nadu with an investment of around ₹100 crore, according to an official statement from the State government.

The Phase-1 project is expected to create approximately 100 jobs and will focus on the production of precision connectors and other electronic components.

The company recently exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government in the presence of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and Industries Minister T. R. B. Rajaa.
