Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), in partnership with Tata Projects (TPL), has secured a ₹2,191 crore contract from Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MPMRCL) for the construction of an 8.65 km metro corridor, including underground tunnels and stations.

Package IN-05R is the only underground segment of the 31.32 km Indore Metro Phase-1 project. It involves constructing an 11.32 km tunnel using tunnel boring machines (TBM) and seven underground stations at Indore Railway Station, Rajwada, Chota Ganpati, Bada Ganpati, Ramchandra Nagar, BSF/Kalani Nagar, and Airport. This section will connect a ramp east of Indore Railway Station to a ramp west of Airport Station.

HCC currently plays a key role in Mumbai Metro Line III, constructing 4 km of twin tunnels and four stations, along with two packages for Chennai Metro. The company has been instrumental in India’s metro expansion, contributing to projects such as Delhi Metro, Bangalore Metro, Mumbai Metro Line I, and Kolkata Metro. In this joint venture, HCC holds a 55% stake, amounting to approximately ₹1,205 crore.
