Twentyone Sugars Limited ( Unit 2) plans Distillery Plant in Maharashtra

Twentyone Sugars Limited (Unit 2) is a leading sugar manufacturer in India. The company is coming up with a new Distillery Plant Project at Saikheda, Parbhani, Maharashtra. The project is expected to cost 145.94 crore and will have a capacity of 100 KLPD (kilo liters per day).

The new initiative will include the production of ethanol, which is a fuel that can be replenished naturally. Molasses, a by-product of sugar production, is converted into ethanol throughout the manufacturing process. In addition to its usage as a chemical feedstock and a component in the production of biofuels, ethanol is also used in the industry as a solvent.

It is anticipated that the project would result in the creation of new employment in the region and will stimulate economic growth there. Additionally, it will assist Twentyone Sugars Limited in increasing its production capacity in order to fulfill the rising demand for ethanol in India as well as the rest of the globe.

As on November 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
