Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) has won another maritime industry order from Ocean Sparkle Limited (OSL) to build three ASD (Azimuth Stern Drive) Tugs with 70 T Bollard Pull Power. This major contract reinforces UCSL's strong cooperation with OSL and its reputation as a top maritime vessel manufacturer.
The contract signing ceremony, presided over by UCSL CEO Harikumar A and OSL Managing Director and CEO Hiren Shah, represents a milestone in their relationship. Both parties are ready to produce innovative and efficient tugboats that meet modern marine standards based on prior projects.
Two 62 T bollard pull ASD tugs for OSL, completed ahead of time, are already operating at Paradip Port and New Mangalore Port, demonstrating UCSL's delivery excellence. The new Robert Allan Ltd.-designed ASD tugs will improve OSL's fleet and port operations.
Maintaining high construction and classification standards is one of UCSL's greatest accomplishments. These new tugs, built under the Indian Flag and classed by the Indian Register of Shipping, demonstrate UCSL's commitment to indigenous shipbuilding and marine sector support.
UCSL's recent contracts with Polestar Maritime Ltd. to build two 70 T Bollard Pull ASD tugs demonstrate its dedication to quality and customer service. UCSL continues to set shipbuilding efficiency and dependability standards with the first vessel delivered ahead of schedule and in operation at Deendayal Port, Kandla.
CSL and UCSL are committed to delivering high-quality boats that fulfill the changing needs of the maritime ecosystem under the visionary leadership of Madhu Nair, Chairman and Managing Director of CSL and Chairman of UCSL. A strong order book, including the construction of six 3,800 Deadweight Dry Cargo Vessels for Wilson ASA, Norway, positions UCSL for marine industry success and expansion.
