Uno Minda’s Next Big Move: ₹320 Crore Invested in 4W Seating

Uno Minda is leveling up its automotive component game. The company just approved a ₹320 crore investment to set up a new greenfield plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, officially entering the high-value 4W passenger vehicle seating market. Built through its joint venture with Japan’s TACHI-S Company, the facility is locked in to start production by Q4 FY28 and has already landed a major anchor order from a leading OEM. Managing Director Ravi Mehra called the move a "strategic leap" that dramatically boosts their per-vehicle value potential as demand for premium vehicle experiences grows.
