UP Cabinet Greenlights Chitrakoot Expressway and 900 New Courts

Uttar Pradesh is ramping up both its connectivity and judicial capacity. During a September 15 meeting led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state Cabinet greenlit 23 major proposals. Headlining the infrastructure push is a new 15.172-km expressway—built on an EPC model—connecting Bharatkoop on the Bundelkhand Expressway to Chitrakoot Dham. Simultaneously, to address mounting case backlogs, the Cabinet authorized the setup of 900 new courts, including Higher Judicial Service and Division courts, across all 75 districts.
