UPPCL Lights Up Four Districts with ₹90 Crore Infrastructure Plan

The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has approved its 2025–26 business plan, sanctioning projects worth nearly ₹90 crore to strengthen the electricity infrastructure across Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, and Fatehpur districts.

The initiative includes the installation of over 200 new transformers and the upgradation of more than 250 existing units, along with significant infrastructure improvements. In Prayagraj Zone-I, ₹27.57 crore has been allocated, including ₹3.87 crore for three new 33 kV lines and ₹5.04 crore for five 11 kV lines. A major component involves the installation of 72 new transformers at a cost of ₹13.20 crore, while ₹1.36 crore is earmarked for upgrading ten transformers. An additional ₹3.88 crore will fund 190 minor works, including wire and feeder replacements.

In Zone-II—covering trans-Ganga, trans-Yamuna, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, and Fatehpur—the plan includes the installation of over 130 new transformers, 240 transformer capacity upgrades, and the addition of new 33 kV and 11 kV lines.

UPPCL officials emphasized that all projects will be completed within six months, with strict accountability measures in place to ensure timely execution and quality standards.
