Uttarakhand Gets New Cargo Hub: Haridwar Terminal Up for Grabs

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has recently announced a significant development initiative with the launch of a tender for constructing a multi-modal cargo terminal in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. This terminal is slated to be built on Railway land at Pathri station, which falls under the Moradabad Division/NR, in accordance with the GCT policy of 2022. The project, valued at Rs 51.24 crore, is aimed at enhancing logistical capabilities in the region, crucial for efficient cargo handling across various modes of transport.

The tender, which closes on 27th July 2024, offers interested parties an opportunity to participate in this transformative infrastructure project. The terminal's construction is expected to span 18 months once the contract is awarded, promising to bolster economic activities and trade flows in and around Haridwar. This initiative underscores CONCOR's commitment to expanding its operational footprint and supporting India's logistics sector growth through strategic infrastructure investments. The establishment of this multi-modal terminal is poised to enhance connectivity, facilitate smoother cargo operations, and stimulate regional development in Uttarakhand's industrial landscape.
