Vibrant Energy has recently made an announcement on its plans to establish a wind farm project with a capacity of 198 megawatts (MW) in Maharashtra. This project is intended to cater to the energy needs of the prominent e-commerce company, Amazon.
According to a statement by Vibrant, a power purchase agreement (PPA) has been entered into with Amazon. According to the company's statement, this is the third Public Private Agreement (PPA) established between Amazon and another entity. The project implementation in Osmanabad, Maharashtra, is projected to yield an annual energy generation of 6,97,261 MWh, with an estimated reduction of 4,94,137 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year.
The project is progressing as scheduled and is expected to be commissioned by early 2025. The adoption of renewable energy is a highly effective approach to mitigating carbon emissions, and Vibrant is actively engaged in assisting Indian corporations in their pursuit of achieving net-zero carbon electricity.
We are pleased to announce the expansion of our collaboration with Amazon through the implementation of an additional 198 MW wind project in the state of Maharashtra.
