To transform eastern Maharashtra into a premier manufacturing hub, the state government has greenlit the Eastern Vidarbha Industrial Corridor. Spanning Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli, the initiative will acquire 10,000–15,000 hectares of land. Under the strategic leadership of top state officials, the project leverages a decentralized cluster approach—connecting multiple industrial zones with seamless logistics and transit infrastructure. This visionary corridor is designed to unlock the region's economic potential, spur industrial development, and generate widespread employment.
