The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) has initiated infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹75 crore in the Pendurthi constituency, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and public amenities.
VMRDA Chairman M.V. Pranav Gopal, Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, and Metropolitan Commissioner K.S. Vishwanathan inaugurated an ₹8 crore convention centre in Chimalapalli and laid foundation stones for several major road projects.
Key developments include:
₹15 crore for a 3.12-km, 60-ft-wide master plan road expansion in Pinagadi
₹31 crore for a 100-ft-wide road connecting Lankalapalem, Asakapalle, and Duvvada Railway Station roads
₹24.5 crore for a road linking Duvvada Railway Station to Gollalapalem and Amruthapuram
₹58.5 lakh for a 40-ft-wide asphalt road from Anakapalle National Highway to Government Degree College, Sabbavaram
Pranav Gopal emphasized VMRDA’s commitment to developing Visakhapatnam in alignment with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision, with a focus on road infrastructure and updating the regional master plan based on community needs. All projects are scheduled for completion within six months.
