Waaree Energies has commenced operations at its newly established 1.80 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Degam village, Navsari district, Gujarat, further strengthening its presence in India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem. The announcement was made via a stock exchange filing on July 31.
The new plant represents a major step in Waaree’s capacity expansion strategy, enabling improved operational efficiency and cost control, and positioning the company to meet rising domestic and international demand for high-quality solar modules.
This development follows Waaree’s recent acquisition of Enel Green Power Development from EGPIPL, a move that broadens its renewable energy portfolio and signals a continued push toward integrated clean energy infrastructure.
