Window Magic’s Mega-Deal for Mumbai’s BDD Chawls

Window Magic has partnered with the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) to support the large-scale redevelopment of the Bombay Development Department (BDD) Chawls in Mumbai.

The project is among Asia’s most significant urban renewal initiatives and involves replacing ageing low-rise structures with 33 modern residential towers. The redevelopment aims to deliver 8,976 upgraded residential units, significantly improving living conditions through modern infrastructure and planned urban design.

As part of the project, Window Magic will supply and install 61,875 aluminium window units across all towers. These systems are designed for durability and energy efficiency, aligning with the requirements of large-scale high-rise residential development.

Phase 1, comprising the first eight towers, is nearing completion and is expected to be handed over by May–June 2026. The remaining 25 towers are scheduled for completion by April 2030. The collaboration highlights the company’s role in delivering engineered fenestration solutions for major urban infrastructure projects.

According to Managing Director Manish Bansal, the partnership reflects the company’s expertise in supporting complex, large-volume housing redevelopment projects. Founded in 2002, Window Magic continues to strengthen its position in India’s construction and infrastructure ecosystem through advanced door and window systems.
