Wolkem Industries Limited intends to build a new Mineral Wet Beneficiation Plant Project in Pali, Rajasthan. The project's throughput capacity will be 78,000 metric tonnes per year (MTPA), with 75,000 MTPA of wollastonite and 4,300 MTPA of gypsum produced. Total output will be 79,300 MTPA. The project will be built on 10.98 hectares of existing industrial property. The total cost of the project is 9.65 crores.
The project has been granted Terms of Reference (ToR) from the State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC) of Rajasthan. Wolkem Industries Limited is currently in the process of amending the ToR to reflect the split of two khasra numbers (366 and 450) into smaller parts.
The project is expected to be completed within two years of receiving the final environmental clearance.
The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for the local community, both during construction and operation. It is also expected to boost the local economy by bringing in new businesses and investments.
The project is likely to have some environmental impacts, such as air and water pollution. However, Wolkem Industries Limited has committed to taking all necessary measures to mitigate these impacts. The company has also proposed to plant trees and develop green belts around the project site to improve the air quality.
The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. By the end of the year 2023, development on the project will have begun.
