The Water Resources Department (WRD) of Maharashtra has recently released a tender for the development of an automated pressurized pipe distribution network system in Buldana. This initiative targets the enhancement of irrigation facilities across five villages—Lis no. 1, 9, 10, 11 & 12—within the Jigaon irrigation project. Encompassing a cultivable command area of 32,613 hectares, this project carries an estimated contract cost of Rs 772.01 crore, with bids accepted until January 21, 2024.
