The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted 26 acres of land in Sector-8 to Jammu & Kashmir-based Shri Katyayani Metal for the development of a logistics park and warehouse near the upcoming Jewar airport.
A letter of intent (LoI) for the project was issued on July 25, 2025. With an estimated investment of Rs 1,000 crore, the project aligns with YEIDA’s broader strategy to enhance cargo and logistics infrastructure in the region. “This initiative supports our vision to build a robust logistics ecosystem around the greenfield airport, which will include a dedicated cargo terminal,” said YEIDA CEO RK Singh.
The proposed logistics park will meet the growing demand for integrated logistics and warehousing solutions, especially with cargo flights expected from the airport’s first day of operations. Unlike traditional warehouses, the facility will offer value-added services such as consolidation, distribution, and advanced supply chain management.
Officials highlighted that the site's proximity to the Jewar airport makes it ideal for such a development, with the project expected to generate employment, boost industrial activity, and contribute to the area's emergence as a major logistics hub.
