The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced that the Uttar Pradesh government has approved the Master Plan 2031 Phase-II for urban centres along the 165 km Yamuna Expressway in Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, and Agra.
This approval enables strategic infrastructure and urban development in these regions, facilitating the planning of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. These initiatives align with the anticipated operational launch of Noida International Airport in April 2025, which is expected to drive significant economic growth.
“With this approval, YEIDA will fast-track key projects, including the Heritage City in Mathura’s Raya Urban Centre and the Logistics Park in Aligarh’s Tappal-Bajna Urban Centre. The authority will accelerate land acquisition and project execution across these regions, overcoming years of administrative delays and setting the stage for comprehensive urban expansion along the Yamuna Expressway,” stated YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh.
YEIDA’s notified area spans 3,352 sq. km across six districts—Gautam Budh Nagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, and Agra—covering 1,149 villages. The development is structured in two phases: Phase-I, covering 759 sq. km in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr, and Phase-II, covering 2,593 sq. km in Mathura, Agra, Aligarh, and Hathras.
