YEIDA Kicks Off $4,000 Cr Ganga-Yamuna Expressway Link!

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to begin acquiring 740 acres of land from 16 villages starting in January for the construction of a 74.3-km link expressway connecting the Ganga Expressway with the Yamuna Expressway.

The land acquisition cost is estimated at around Rs 1,200 crore, while the total project cost is pegged at Rs 4,000 crore. Once completed, the link expressway will provide a direct road corridor to the Noida International Airport at Jewar. The project will span parts of Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts, with land acquisition proposed across 56 villages.

Approximately 20 km of the expressway will fall under YEIDA’s jurisdiction, including a nine-km elevated section. To facilitate local movement, a 24-metre-wide service road will also be constructed alongside the expressway. According to YEIDA CEO R. K. Singh, the alignment will start at the 44.3-km point on the Ganga Expressway near Syana and merge with the Yamuna Expressway near Film City in Sector 21.
