Koraam, a company backed by Kosol Energie, has secured its fourth order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana (MTSKPY), reinforcing its position in Maharashtra’s rapidly expanding solar-powered agricultural irrigation market.
The latest Letter of Empanelment involves the deployment of 2,933 solar water pumping systems across the state. Under the scope of the contract, Koraam will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, including system design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and post-installation maintenance support. The order further strengthens the company’s presence in the renewable energy sector and highlights its growing role in implementing large-scale solar infrastructure projects for the agricultural community.
The project aligns with the Government of India’s broader renewable energy and rural development objectives under the PM-KUSUM programme, which promotes the adoption of solar-powered irrigation systems to improve energy access for farmers while reducing dependence on conventional electricity sources. By enabling the use of off-grid solar pumps, the initiative is expected to support sustainable agricultural practices, lower energy costs, and ensure reliable water availability for farming operations.
The solar pumping systems will be equipped with Kosol’s 535 Wp and 450 Wp photovoltaic modules, which are designed to deliver high efficiency, durability, and reliable performance under diverse agricultural conditions. The latest order represents a significant milestone for Koraam and underscores its expanding contribution to renewable energy deployment, rural electrification, and sustainable agriculture development across Maharashtra.
