Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dedicated two power transmission infrastructure projects and laid the foundation stone for a third high-capacity renewable energy corridor developed by Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID).
The commissioned projects include transmission networks for the Kurnool wind and solar zones (₹3,547 crore) and the Ananthapuram (2,500 MW) and Kurnool (1,000 MW) solar parks (₹823 crore). Additionally, the Prime Minister launched the ₹5,550-crore Kurnool-IV Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Phase-I project, which will route 4.5 GW of additional clean energy to the national grid, bolstering India’s clean energy transition.
