NTPC Awards Bondada Major 600 MW Solar Project

Bondada Engineering Limited has secured an ₹816 crore order from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited for Balance of System (BOS) works related to a 600 MW Solar PV project at Fatehgarh, reinforcing its presence in India’s renewable energy sector.

The Hyderabad-based company said it received the Notification of Award over the weekend. The scope of the contract includes engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities along with three years of operations and maintenance services. The project is expected to be completed within 16 months.

This is the second major order awarded to Bondada Engineering by the NTPC Group, taking its cumulative order inflow from NTPC entities to nearly ₹1,207 crore. The combined project capacity awarded by NTPC Group companies now approaches 1 GW.

Following the latest contract, Bondada Engineering’s total Solar EPC order book has expanded to around 5.3 GWp, reflecting continued momentum in large-scale renewable energy infrastructure development.

The order follows a strong financial performance by the company in FY 2025–26. Bondada Engineering reported total revenue of ₹2,843 crore compared with ₹1,571 crore in the previous financial year, representing year-on-year growth of 81 percent.

The company’s net profit for the year stood at ₹211 crore, supported by growth across its three major business segments — renewable energy, telecom, and railway infrastructure.
