Waaree Powers Up Kentucky with 236 MW Solar Deal

Waaree Energies, through its wholly owned subsidiary Waaree Solar Americas, has clinched a major utility-scale contract in the United States. The company will supply 236.22 MW of advanced solar modules for a project based in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

Under the terms of the one-time agreement, Waaree will deliver its high-efficiency N-Type G12R photovoltaic modules (in 615 Wp and 620 Wp variants). Production will take place at Waaree’s Brookshire, Texas manufacturing plant, with shipments slated for Q1 and Q2 of FY28.

While the financial details and the client—described as a major international sustainable infrastructure developer—remain confidential, this deal significantly bolsters Waaree's US pipeline. The announcement follows recent clarifications from the company that its US business operations remain unaffected by ongoing customs matters.
