The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has begun planning a Japanese Industrial City near the upcoming Noida International Airport, spanning approximately 395 hectares.
As part of the initiative, YEIDA, in collaboration with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), will hold a meeting with Japanese entrepreneurs in Delhi on January 16 to seek their inputs on the proposed development. According to Shailendra Bhatia, Additional CEO of YEIDA, the feedback received will help shape the project and ensure it aligns with the expectations of Japanese investors.
The authority aims to attract leading Japanese companies, with a particular focus on the Medical Device Park sector. YEIDA has also been examining successful models such as the Japanese industrial township in Neemrana, Rajasthan, to incorporate best practices.
Officials are further assessing the possibility of offering mixed-use land, combining industrial and residential facilities, based on the requirements of participating companies. The initiative is expected to accelerate the project’s progress and facilitate substantial Japanese investment in the region.
